“I am excited to take on this new role and work with the Board to continue moving CGA forward,” said Worley, who has served on the Board since 2021. “I am grateful to Nelson for his leadership and guidance, and I look forward to building on the foundation he has laid, especially when it comes to our work in hydrogen and growing our young leaders.”

As Chair, Worley will oversee the operation of CGA’s Board of Directors alongside its Executive committee. During his term, he will prioritize the expansion of CGA’s influence, ensuring that the association maintains a strong position as a leading technical authority. Worley noted the critical importance of continuing to develop and improve safety standards in order to protect human life. Additionally, he will continue efforts to engage young and emerging professionals into CGA in order to expand the perspectives represented on committees and ensure a pipeline of subject matter experts to support future work.
